Scoop Chair by Carter Brothers
I have a pair of these Scoop Chairs by Carter Brothers. I have removed the cushions and will sand and refinish the wood. There are some minor chips and many many staple holes where the cushions were attached to the wood.
Hi Frank, would love to hear and see how your project turned out. How did you reattach the cushions. I have read that Carter Bros. only used glue, what did you use? Thanks, Carrie mochacoffey@gmail.com
I have not finished these yet. I will most likely be working on them some time in the spring. The cushions that were on here were attached with staples in the crease where the piping is. I'll have to research the staple vs. glueing. Any suggestions for websites on these? Thanks for the interest!! Frank
Here is a link to a blog called mid century modernist. They have a nice entry about these chairs.
